What I Would do if i won the Lottery

A few weeks ago the main topic in everyones conversation was THE TEXAS Lottery. Made me think of course about what I would like to do :D because its ok to dream. I would do many things and I would help many people, again its fun to dream.Let's assume the take home cash value is 325,000,000I would donate a huge amount to Latinitas. that way both offices could expand. Alicia and other from Austin could have company credit cards and could buy computers, equipment, and larger office spaces.…See More

No more glasses, no more contacts! I can see!!!

I underwent the Lasik procedure last week, on Valentines Day.Even though I knew the risks, I was convinced I needed this procedure done. It angered me that I was defective. My vision was terrible and getting worse with the years. I was no longer able to see my alarm clock in the mornings or see the direction of peoples eyes 2 feet in front of me. A lot of people questioned my decision, insisting that I had worn contacts for many years and that I was fine. Here's the thing. My vision was getting…See More

"True...as reporters, we're bound to get hard news assignments. But I'm sure you can still have fun adding life into complex, hard-facts stories in a way that's more appealing to readers. And I completely agree about everyone having an…"

Why I wanted to become a Reporter.

When I listen to music from a different era or watch movies that depict certain events my mind wanders. Most of those people are dead, sick or old. Elderly are constantly pushed to the side yet they have some of the most amazing stories. I look into their faces sometimes and wonder about their experiences. I'd love to tell those stories, the stories of unsung heroes. Of people who were the first of many or the ones who changed our future. Maybe I think in depth but honestly every single one of…See More

After Graduating from College

So its been almost 2 months since I've graduated from UTEP and I still cant believe I don't have to wake up every morning and go to school. With that said, I have been job searching and job searching since I walked. But it still feels awesome that I can sleep in and not worry about textbooks or materials for the semester. But I do miss some part of being in college. Like my financial aid checks, walking through the campus, hanging out with friends and my favorite professors. I don't like the…See More

Death in the Family.

Deaths are always a sad topic. But they do happen. Every time a loved one is lost I'm always there "being the strong one." What I mean is that lately, the family members and loved ones who have passed away are all related to my mom (siblings or friends) And my mom always breaks down. It's the saddest thing ever but I have to keep it together. ... For her. I hate seeing my mom hurt so much and I wish I could take her pain away. Id endure all her suffering if I could.... That's why I have to be…See More

My problems with Acne

I began breaking out at the age of 10. As a fifth grader in Elementary school i think i was the first kid to have break outs, By sixth grade my forehead was covered and in middle school my forehead and chin were populated. I was embarrassed and ashamed and in a lot of ways I could not stand looking at myself. I envied EVERYONE with clear skin and felt that I would never be beautiful. For me Acne was inevitable. My parents had it when young, my cousins on both sides of my family where covered in…See More
