New Year's Eve?!

Is it really the end of the year? Where did the time go? Well all these questions flow in our minds. The truth is that we found ourselves being more caught out in the preparations for the celebration of the New Year's Even than thinking what was good and the bad for this year, or if we should be grateful for what happened or didn't happened during these 12 months. We as Latinos need to be as together as we can get, so our DREAMS as a community can come true, and the plans we have for the future…See More

Being Grateful After Thanksgiving Day

This month was the month of being grateful. People posted on Facebook what they were grateful for, and for some reason I didn't stop for a second and think about the thinks that I am grateful for, like family and friends, a roof and food for everyday. Now, the day after thanksgiving I am grateful for having a great father. May be he wasn't the best, maybe he did many things wrong, maybe he did not took care of me or my brothers, but he was there and he loved me as much as he could. He gave a…See More

respecting halloween

Today is halloween, and as in any "holiday" there are some people who don't celebrate halloween, for whatever reason you like. As far as I know, and as far as I want to be make a difference for people, I cannot stop and be impress by all the criticism around this colorful festivity. Please, do not judge the celebration of other people; be respectful to what they do and celebrate; and don't judge their religious beliefs, because they are free to belief whatever they want. Be safe and be happy on…See More

Latin@s are on time!!!

I have encounter many people that say that Latin@s are always late. Well, let me tell you something, that misconception needs to end and stop. I know a hand full of latin@s that are ON TIME, and respect and value the time of others! It is important that we stop relating to our community as we are a bunch of irresponsible people arriving late every where! we need to empower ourselves, and if you notice a pattern, instead of helping spreading it, take an action to transform it. See More

I am, because you are

Sometimes I don't want to keep on going, the many obstacles that I (we) counter in our daily lives, leaves me wandering if I should keep on going...I was born in a family of 4 men, my dad, and mom. My mom never had a strong voice over my father, but she did had a power connection to each of my brother and myself. I love my oldest brothers, like I love my fushia shirt. Why? because I was not raised with them, and when I met them, they only thing they did was criticized me. I know they love me,…See More
