Mental illnesses and Disorders in the fashion industry

It is the middle of November and December is almost upon us. With this cold month brings snow, the talk of christmas, hot chocolate and of course ugly sweater competitions. So its no surprise that big companies/stores go all out with clothing designs to draw you to their store. Even with that being said there is a line that should not be crossed and that line has been crossed by target. If you have not heard target released a sweater with the words OCD Obsessive Christmas disorder. As a…See More

Struggle of a life time

Being any race other then white in american basically guarantees you some kind of struggle. Mine was known from a very young age. In my family its common knowledge that i take after my fathers mother. In others words I look more white then I do Mexican. Proud to be a Latina

We live in a country that the ideal model look usually is a Heidi Klum look alike. Most of us look nothing like that and there is nothing wrong with that. We come in many shapes and sizes and I think thats incredibly beautiful. As Latinas most of us are full figured and curvy and   for some of us it hard to accept that when we're bombarded everywhere on social media with girls that look nothing like us. I know I had a hard time accepting being curvy and that there was nothing I could do to…See More

Street Art

Whats the difference between street art and graffiti? For me graffiti is basic tagging has no meaning to it other than to vandalize. Now street art is making an ordinary street wall into a beautiful canvas for artists to let their imagination flow. Street art is art that really makes you think but isn't always on a a street wall. A street artist named Banksy for example created a art show modeled after Disneyland called Dismaland. Banksy is one of the more famous street artist even though no…See More
