It’s difficult to balance one self, for example I’m a very passionate person. When I get involved in an issue, or organization I truly dedicate myself. However, my weakness is that I sometimes take it to the extreme. At one point, or maybe I’m still going through it, I was passionate about feminism. I was all about not getting married, not believing in fathers walking down their daughters down the aisle, hating cheerleading and hating girls that…

It’s awkward for our parents to talk about gays, or lesbians, at least in my family…

I admire the couple that decided to do away with the extra stuff and live simply. The woman has minimized her closet and her life by limiting herself to 100 items.
I don’t know what I would bring if the house was burning down, much less 100 items for the rest of my life. They are working less, earning less but enjoying life more.
That’s one of my goals, to try to simplyfy the items in my…

Various articles online have pointed out the trend in people splurging on designer articles. The
girl with the Loui Vuitton bag sitting next to you, or the girl with the Coach
sneakers walking across the hall all share a love for labels.…

Bill and Melinda Gates began recruiting, not for Microsoft, or for the various scholarships they
offer. They are recruiting millionaires. The couple founded, The Giving Pledge,
a company in which members promise to give half of their wealth to charity. The
company doesn’t ask for a check, or any money just for them to publicly write…

Last semester I took a screenwriting class, which I thought would be interesting and an outlet for
my creativity and who knows, it might be my secret talent in life. When my
class of ten sat in circle to discuss movie ideas I began getting depressed and
then angry. One the students, a boy of course was writing a story about…

I was one of the many people that screamed in outrage at the TV when Taylor Swift took the Grammy instead of Lady Gaga. Taylor reads pages from her diary, like how creative. Lady Gaga is a true artist, but whatever.
Now the whole drama with Arizona has started and several celebrities, cities, states, and artists are protesting the state, because of the new immigration law they are trying to pass.…

Ah grownups, either they are yelling at us for ignoring the overflowing trash can, or lecturing us about how we just don’t understand the way life works.
Attending a lecture/presentation at the Plaza theatre (where renovation are taking place and looking great) by Community Scholars only proves the point that grownups will always find fault first.
I…

I was away at school when the Arizona immigration law came into light. That night at the sorority meeting we had a discussion about it. I left the room angrier with
my fellow Hispanic sisters, than at the white people passing the law.
The…

Above all the Jennifer Aniston's, Angelina Jolie and other blonde, cliche actresses there is Zoey Deschenel.
I loved her before she was the She in She and Him, I loved before her wardrobe was considered cool and I loved her before she was Summer.
I loved her quirkyness in almost every film she was in, no matter how short her role was. Her personality bloomed on camera, no matter if she was supposed be part of the melting background.
I love Leo,…

Not counting the superbowl, like how can you compete with those. Later on I shall do worst commercials for millions of dollars.
The Old Spice guy!
I love this commericial, it's hilarious, it grabs your attention because it's so weird. I'm happy that advertising companies are placing minorities on commericials/ads nowadays. Not just place a minority in the background. Too bad that no matter who proposes to who in the Old Spice commericals, sales have gone down. Life is…

ONLY READ THIS IF YOU'VE SEEN THE FILM!
Yesteday I finally watched one of the most anticipated films this summer, well at least for me. I loved it, there was nothing about the movie that I didn't enjoy. It was told wonderfully, creatively and with suspense. The whole movie kept you at the edge of your seat, that's how the man sitting on front of me spend the three hours.
I marvel and apploud a person that can direct such exquisite film, as well as write…
