Most of you probably don't really like it,…Continue

Character. We all have one. Some may have a good one, while others... not so much. Based on the recent statements made by Donald Trump, his character lacks some major qualities, while Oprah has a character made of gold and free gifts.
But what exactly IS character?
According to whatwillmatter.com, it is "a morally neutral term describing the nature of a person in terms of major qualities." How you acquire these qualities depends on how you deal with…Continue
I'm a really strong advocate for TED talks on TED.com/talks, for nearly every talk they post can motivate, inspire, or inform you in ways no other website can. I've lost track as to how many talks I've actually seen, but this one talk (among with countess others) stood out the most to me. It's told by a model, who talks about what it's like to be in the business, and sheds light on the not-so-beautiful aspects of modelling.…Continue

I know it might be finals for some of us, but I have some really great DIY (do it yourself) projects that you can try once you ace those exams to help get into the feeling of summer! Lately, I've been obsessing over Pinterest, and have fallen in love with all of the DIY projects people post. So I expanded my search to Youtube and found some really cost-efficient projects that you and your friends/family can do during the next few summer months. The link I'm…Continue

I'm not too sure if anyone shares the same passion that I have, but I absolutely love to read. You'll usually find an unread book on my person, unless I'm already loaded down with books or binders from school.
If anyone else has this burning desire to pick up a good book/poem/magazine/short story, here are a few that I recommend to everyone. Some of the titles that I included might be a little tough to read, so forming a book club could help you understand the material a little…Continue
The older you get, the more it seems like there just aren't enough hours in the day. It can be tough juggling school alone, but once you add jobs, research, internships… it can all seem like too much! I don't have a job right now, but I do participate in research, and intern with Latinitas while attending UTEP as a Microbiology student who is trying her best to prepare for medical school, so it's safe to say that I feel overwhelmed a lot of the time, too! But, I do have a few tricks to…Continue

How did you prepare for college?
In all honesty, I really didn't prepare much for college, aside from taking several AP courses in high school and applying to a few scholarships my senior year. I feel like I didn't have the proper guidance from counselors and wasn't told to take courses that could apply as…Continue
