Last night my guy friend dragged me (literally) to the premier of Transformers 3 at midnight. I was hesitant to go not only because I have no interest in fighting robots, but because of how packed the movies get on premier night. Last week I came across something on Twitter that really upset me at first. Last night my friend thought it would be fun to take me to a home on the east side where people believe the Virgin Mary had appeared. I was hesitant because of course this is someone's property we would be disturbing, and it was almost midnight. This weekend I found myself extremely frustrated with a lot of the people I met. I recently started a new job as a hostess at a local restaurant. As I began meeting people and going through the basic introductory questions, I realized many people became confused and upset when I mentioned I attended school out of town. Last night I stayed up watching Our Family Wedding, which features America Ferrera and Carlos Mencia. If you haven't seen the previews, the movie is about a young Mexican American woman, Lucia trying to break the news to her family that she is engaged to a black man Marcus, and that she has dropped out of law school.

Last night was a great night to be stationed in front of the television for a few hours. The Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat met up for game three, Chicharito showed off his awesome soccer skills, and of course there was my personal pick, the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
