This past Saturday the Latinitas volunteers and I had the the chance to experience a new workout craze known as Crossfit. I have heard that it is super addictive and you never repeat the same workout twice. Arriving at the gym intimidated me but thankfully our trainer for the day was very sweet and patient with those of us that were not familiar or experienced with the workout. We started with a warm-up that included stretching with a plastic pipe, then for the next 20 minutes we had to do as many rounds as we could within that time. The rounds included 10 push ups, 20 squats, and 30 sit ups. After the 2nd round I began to feel the burn. I enjoyed the workout,what I liked about the workout was that you use your own body to exercise and the trainer would push us to finish as much as we could.As a result I felt like I got a good workout. Of course it came with soreness that lasted for 3 days but I would try it again.
