My Ring Day!

When I first arrived to Texas A&M University, my freshman year, the day I would receive my Aggie ring seemed so unreal. It felt so far away and now, three years later, I have finally earned it after so many years of hard work. My family came to celebrate my accomplishments with me. Even though this isn’t exactly my graduation day, I still feel so accomplished and that after all the tears, all-nighters, and foreign professors who barely know how to speak English, it has finally paid off. Even though good grades and completed credit hours show you how rewarding it is to stay focused throughout the semester, there’s nothing like receiving a physical object that regularly reminds you how far you’ve come. I feel even more part of the Aggie family than my three years of being here have made me feel. 

As of right now, I have my class year on my ring facing towards me. This symbolizes that I am still a student and have not yet graduated. Getting my ring has brought me one step closer to graduation and it’s beginning to feel more real. Once I graduate in December of this year, I will turn my class ring around to where my class year is facing away from me symbolizing that I am ready to face the world!

Congratulations! I was so excited when I got my Aggie Ring. :) I've had mine for a year and I still love it as much as the first day I got it!
