Scandinavia is a region in Northern Europe composed of the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden that is characterized by a common historical, ethno-cultural and linguistic germanic heritage. This past weekend I went on a trip to S T O C K H O L M <3 the capital of Sweden to visit a friends friend who is on ERASMUS there. You may ask what is "Erasmus"? The Erasmus Program (EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students a.k.a Erasmus Project) is a European Union student exchange program that was established in 1987 created in an effort to expand the knowledge and gain new insights of European University students. It's American equivalent would be like a "student exchange/study abroad program". ERASMUS is an amazing thing because it brings people of different european nationalities to come together and humanize the concept of the European Union or globalization for that matter which epitomizes the overall experience of living abroad. 

Visiting Sweden was a wonderful experience! The artsy, alternative, hipster vibe of Stockholm was amazing! As I roamed the streets that were filled with cafes and vintage shops I felt like I was transported to NYC circa 1980's. The beautiful thing about visiting Europe is how easy it is to travel and meet so many different kinds of people, cultures and traditions.

This is awesome! Sweden is also home to tons of great pop music, much of which I've been listening to here in Austin for South By. :)
