Latinitas - A Strong Voice for Latina Youth

Americans too lazy for microwave popcorn?

America, we've hit a new low!

According to Advertising Age, they explain, "

“Microwave popcorn at its inception was all about convenience, having only to wait three minutes to get warm, delicious popcorn,” said Colleen Bailey, Orville [Redenbacher]'s brand director. But “as times have changed, the definition of convenience has changed.”

“You don't have to take the extra step of opening the box, opening the wrapper,” and “hoping you have the skill to watch it appropriately so you don't ruin the product,” said Beth Bloom, a food and drinks analyst with market researcher Mintel."

Should I be concerned about the ramifications of our future leaders, entrepeneurs, and children? I think so!

What is more alarming is that our current adults, like myself, read this type of information and take it to heart! I never been much of a believer of statistics, but I feel the more I read about all the negative hype about things concerining the younger people, the more I am aware, that keeping young people away from news and such comes at a price. Statistics have shown that children as young as eight are developing diabetes and cancerous abnormalities. Oh the insanity!

I want children to be happy with the way they look and feel. I want them confident!

I want them to stop needing to eat foods high in fructose, white starch and sugar.

Help me help them.

One way to do this is by teaming up with local agencies to help grow fruits and vegetables. I know a change like this does not waive many supporters, but if we think this way, how is anyone supposed to feel positively confident that a change like this will help?

I want to work for the Boys and Girls Harbor to help those students with no will to succeed in eating healthy or going to school to change that way of thinking and DO SOMETHING to BE SOMEBODY.

So, as I was writing, microvaved popcorn being too hard for young people? ppplease....ugh. Let's teach kids how to make natural popcorn with creative ways to incorporate taste or  the like!

It's not about "ready to eat popcorn" it's about helping children feel like they amount to something other than what they eat!

These children need someone to tell them they are confident!

They may change their minds about the way bagged snacks taste once their mouths tune to the natural taste of nature. :) I am hopeful!
