I just read an article about how some white couples are putting spanish names to their babies, and children. Names like "Maria", "Jose", and "Isabella" are getting popular between these white couples, but it is not because they simply love the name; the reason behind is because these couples are afraid that their children will not be able to fit in this new society. Many of you do not know but the latino society is growing in the United States, and these couple think if their kid does not have any spanish name, they will not fit in the latino society. It is pretty weird how things turn upside down, because a couple of years ago, many girls who are latinas were ashamed of their name, because it was different from other girls, not only that but they were bullied for being a latina. I honestly think that a name is not what girls look for when they meet someone. For me, the origin of a name is the last thing I care about, I mostly care about their attitude towards, if they are friendly, and nice to me. By knowing girls, I know that girls mostly care about the way you look in order to become friends. What do you girls think? Do you think you cannot be friends with a girl with a name like "Summer"?
