Latinitas - A Strong Voice for Latina Youth

LULAC National Scholarship Fund is looking for new council memebers!

As part of LULAC’s education efforts, the LULAC National Scholarship Fund(LNSF) was established in 1975 to provide scholarships to Hispanic students attending colleges and universities. Under the LNSF program, local LULAC Councils, in partnership with local and national businesses, award scholarships to students in their communities. The LNSF is administered by LNESC. This scholarship is available to all full-time enrolled students, including graduate students, or high school seniors who have applied to university as a full time student. To download the LNSF application visit our website at www.lnesc.organd follow the scholarship tab. You must have a participating LULAC council in your area to apply to. The list of participating councils is posted on LNESC’s website at under the scholarship tab. Please send your application to the nearest LULAC Council in your state as listed on the participating council list. Unfortunately, students are not eligible to apply if there is not a nearby participating LULAC Council in your state. If there is not a participating council in the state in which you reside and if you are attending school out of state in which there is a participating council then you may apply to that council. If you do not see a participating council in your state please continue to check back with us for updates to the list. Applications will not be accepted at the LNESC National Office in Washington, D.C. or its educational centers.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for a scholarship:

· Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident (AB-540 students are not eligible)

· Must have applied to or be enrolled as a full-time student in college, university, or graduate school, including 2-year colleges, or vocational schools that lead to an associate’s degree

· A student will not be eligible for a scholarship if he/she is related to a scholarship committee member, the Council President, or an individual contributor to the local funds of the Council

I encourage you to visit the websites below to obtain additional scholarship information.

If you are interested in becoming involved with a local council  visit the LULAC website at Located on the bottom of their homepage click on the “find a LULAC council” link to review a list of contact information for LULAC councils.
