Trigger warning: Comments about rape are mentioned in this video.
Rosianna Halse Rojas, also known as missxrojas, is a YouTube blogger who creates insightful and humorous videos about LIFE. She talks about several aspects of life and what she has experienced and is currently experiencing. I like following her thought process as she incorporates the various things she cares about and combines them to make a vlog. In Women., Rosianna focuses on women on YouTube. What do you think about the way in which female YouTubers present themselves and the way they are treated by the YouTube community? What factors are at play that are causing this? Is it part of society? Rosianna mentions patriarchy in her video and I agree with her. I would also like to mention male privilege and the hierarchy that it imposes on us humans. On YouTube, males believe that they are allowed to insult/degrade women. By doing this, they are exerting their male privilege, and are therefore encroaching upon our rights as females, and so as humans to freely express ourselves without receiving hateful sex and/or gender-based responses in life—including on the Internet.
