I'm 22 years old, graduating soon and heading out into the real world. If there's any piece of advice worth giving to a younger generation, I would say: Don't waste your time on people who aren't worth it.
Let me elaborate on that.
Your real friends are definitely worth keeping, of course. I would advice to be smart about it and realize sooner who is there to stay and who is not a good friend to you. I spent most of high school trying to please friends and GIRL, LET ME TELL YOU... THAT WAS A WASTE OF TIME.
I met my best friend in high school and we've been tight ever since. We're both here at UT, same major and everything. I hardly get to see her, but she's still my bestie. People think we're twins sometimes! We're there for each other and that'll never change! Shout out to Maria Rivera!
Your best friend is your best friend for a reason! They're the person (persons) you can trust with anything. We all need that kind of support, besides family of course.
But, you also have to think about what it means to be a friend. If you find yourself wondering why you hang out with someone when they're just not good for you... that's probably a sign to move on. You can't always please others and if they're your besties, well then there is no reason why you should try to please them. They should be happy having you as a friend!

Thanks! This actually applies to anyone. Some of us learn the hard way, later in life, that inconsiderate people exist!
This is amazing advice! Yes!
