- How did you hear about Latinitas?
- I interned at Latinitas during the Spring semester of 2011. I am now a member of the Youth Editorial Advisory Board, working on perfecting my writing skills!
- What is your favorite color?
- Aqua green
- What is your favorite type of music?
- Rock 'n roll, jazz, and motown
- What is your favorite TV show or movie?
- Tv shows: 30 Rock, Boy Meets World, Mad Men, Downton Abbey, the Office, and Family Guy. Movies: The Notebook, Catch Me If You Can, The Artist, Midnight in Paris.
- What is your favorite book or magazine?
- I'm always reading a book. One I finish with one, I go straight to the next. I have a list of about 20 books "to-read." I've read too many to name a favorite!
- What is your favorite hobby or what do you do for fun?
- I love to play music and write songs. I also love to read, write, and learn different languages. What I love to do most, however, is travel :)

Taking His Last Name: Yay or Nay?

I'm 23, far from getting married, but I have thought about this issue before: whether to someday take my husband's last name or keep my own. Growing up, I fantasized my wedding - I would marry my favorite Beatles member (impossible dreams of mine) and become Mrs. Lennon. I received a ukulele for Christmas and the first thing I did was join my dad and brother in learning this holiday song. It's our rendition of Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's cover of the song "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" originally sung by Nancy Wilson.

Feminism: What Does It Really Mean?

I recently came across this article about certain celebrity women afraid to call themselves feminists. I found it very interesting that most of them declared themselves in support of gender equality but "not feminists." Hmmm. I respect their judgements and opinions, but it makes me wonder: do we really know what feminism means?
