Hispanic Month

I do not personally celebrate Hispanic Heritage month the way most people do, however, I do attend local church bizarres. They are fund raisers for the church and people within the community attend and participate in the events that go on. I remember going to lots of bizarres as a child and those were the most fun I have experienced. Eating gorditas, churros, tacos, etc. Playing games such as fishing, where you would try to catch the prize from the plastic fishing pole or the ring toss. What I…See More

Obama's Speech

I thought President Obama did very well addressing the children on education. He pin-pointed exactly what almost every child goes through when it comes to education. He also address the fact children have to work hard for what they want, to achieve the goals no matter what people say. It was very inspiring and I admire his confidence in telling the children like is. The parents who were scared or upset about the speech need to learn to face the facts and the truth behind it, because that's what…See More

Surviving and thriving in High School

High school can be a very hard time for most teenagers, I for one was very shy around new people. However, I eventually grew from the shyness later on in my years. What helped me the most was finding the right extra circular activity, although most of the activities around school were not of my interest I found the newspaper and yearbook fascinating. I was able to work as a Sports Layout editor and photographer. I developed most of my pictures in the dark room, when we didn't have to rely on…See More

Memorable time at college

Posted on September 3, 2009 at 4:57pm 0 Comments

The most exciting part about going back to college would probably be meeting new friends, attending new classes and attending football games. The thrill of getting ready to start a new class to see who you might know or who you'll get to meet. The football games are my favorite times, getting together with friends and family for tailgates. The enjoyment of watching an exciting game, yelling for our team to win! Watching people with painted faces and school spirit, cheering, blowing horns and… Continue
