Take Care Of Your Body

If you spend a lot of time on your computer, make sure you take frequent breaks. Take it from me.

I was recently diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which is a condition where the median nerve is irritated and inflamed. This can cause pain, tingling, burning and twitching sensations on the hands and arms. The way that I got it was by my 'long breaks' after shortly working on school stuff, which were technically many hours long. I also had my wrists bent in an awkward…

Being a Big Sister

Hey everyone! Super sorry it's been so long but as I said before I've been really busy, our first football game is tomorrow (or today, depending on when you're reading this) and we've literally been prepping for this for a couple weeks.

So, as you may or may not know, I am a big sister to three little monsters. Their names are Emilio, Landry, and Elijah. Emilio is 13, Landry - or Lala as we call her - is 8, and Elijah is 5.

Being a big sister is a big part of my life and don't get me… Continue

Abel Baca and his Coffee Box

He is the co-owner of the Coffee Box, a local coffee shop.

But you might not guess that by looking at Abel Baca, as he makes small talk with the barista, cleans the counter and seats his customers.

Located between Mesa and Main Street, the…

School Start-Up = Changes

Hey what's up guys! Sorry it's been a while, I have been so stressed out lately with school and college and retaking the ACT and cheer I have not had really any time to write. I have a ton going on right now so I'm sorry if I don't update every single day. But I'm going to try!!

So, for me, school starts in like three weeks. Some people are excited, especially some of the other seniors I know. Woohoo we're seniors! We're the big dogs, the head of the school, the top of the food chain! Who… Continue

Women in Movies

Women in Movies

I love watching movies! Practically anyone can say this. There’s a movie genre for everyone out there, although some are more popular than others. Regardless, I’m sure most of us can say we’ve sat down and enjoyed plenty of movies in our lives...but do we ever stop to think about what message the movie is sending to the audience apart from the overall themes of the movie…

For the College First-year...

For the College First-year...

For those of us that are students, the new semester is fast approaching (although some have already started). I am a junior at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, and although my school is far from my home in El Paso, Texas, after three months, I am just so excited go back and see all my friends again, decorate my dorm room, and get back into the swing of things. I wasn’t always this hyped about…

Target Rebranding their image to Include Genderless boy/girl Set up

Target is moving in a different direction in featuring their toys for children. In a press release on their website, beginning on the 7th of August they state that their toys will no longer limit to one gender and instead advertised as "kids" as a way for customers better roam through the store.Target writes, "reference to gender, including the use of pink, blue, yellow or green paper on the back walls of our shelves,"as a better method to stop gender boundaries,  but will this mean an…

Smile Because It Looks Good on You!

Hey everyone! So today I decided to do sort of an inspirational post. I write some pretty deep stuff on my other blog and I always get a ton of great feedback so I thought I'd try it on here and see if I got the same responce!

We all know how it feels when you don't feel like you're good enough. When it seems like there are so many other better girls out there than you and there's nothing you can do about it. Speaking from experience, yeah it sucks. It sucks when it seems like some… Continue

Kelly Osbourne's Racist Remark

Kelly Osbourne's Racist Remark

What happened:

This week, on an episode of The View, an ABC morning talk show, guest-star co-host Kelly Osbourne (singer, actor, and fashion designer) made a remark that many consider racist. The women on the show were talking about Donald Trump’s racist remarks and political stance on immigration, when Osbourne said the following: “If you kick every Latino…
