The princess and the frog

This new movie is now on top of my watch list. I have seen the previews on TV and I want to watch it. The movie synopsis goes as follows: Set in the city of New Orleans comes a modern twist on a classic tale, featuring a beautiful girl named Tiana , a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on an adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana. I think this movie is a nice change in pace from the drama films of vampires to the action… Continue

My audio production final.

I am so glad today i finished my final for my audio production class that is due on Monday (12/7/09). The assignment was to come up with three 30 sec commercials and have no problems with it. The trick was we could not go over 30 sec. or else we would get points taken off. The commercials could be on anything we wanted to do it on, existing or not. The first commercial I did it on Zune, the mp3 that I have and love to use, since i know it so well I used it as my inspiration. The second… Continue

Thursday to friday and friday to saturday... what a long weekend :)

My first official interview too place. I interviewed district 3 representative; Emma Acosta and District 7 rep. Steve Ortega. I was so nervous at first but by the end I had calmed down and I felt good about the over all experience. The interview process went well and soon the story will be coming out. Later that night my friend ray came over and spent the night because we and a group of other friends went to the midnight showing of new… Continue

So the question is do you think P.E is important? I think it is, not all the time are students given the opportunity through out the day or do like to exercise. The U.S. is one of the top or even possibly the top country to find obesity. The need for P.E to exist in schools is there. The fact that there are test or even grades I don't think is important. I think P.E should be a pass or fail kind of class. If you participate, try hard, and show up to every class then you pass. No need for test… Continue

New student orientation :)

In January I will be starting my junior year at UTEP. I am so excited and on Saturday they had new student orientation. We started off the day of the does and don't in school. Don't plagiarize, even your self, (which I found out was possible). Do sit in the first rows of the class and join organizations on campus. They said that by being involved and sitting closer to the front you get better grades and do well in school. They also informed us about the parking, and the campus police. They made… Continue

Chocolate Milk! yummmm

I remember being in elementary school and middle school during lunch we had so many options to pick from. Little by little they started taking out the bad. Like soda and junk food the vending machines and all that good stuff to make the food choices healthy. I personally am not a milk fan so adding chocolate to that mix made it better for me. The one thing I always found i could count on them serving is milk and chocolate milk. Well now they are considering taking out chocolate milk from the… Continue

Role models :)

Every person has their own role model. The definition of a role model is: A person who serves as a model in a particular behavioral or social role for another person to emulate. OR a person regarded by others, esp younger people, as a good example to follow. ( Both definitions are basically the same in my opinion. So then what characteristics do you think a person should have in order to… Continue

aaaachooo! alergies

The past week i have had really bad allergies, and didnt really know it. I know that sounds odd not knowing you have bad allergies but in my case it kinda sneaked up on me. My eyes were really irratated and driving me crazy. When I think of allergies and eyes I think they must be itchy to be allergies, well it turns out if your eye gets really watery like if you are crying from one eye only then that could be a symtom of allergies. I was surprised about that! So then when i came across this… Continue

I love music. It is my get away from reality, my way of expressing my feelings. I find a way to relate to what the song is saying. Music inspires me and gives me a sence of creativity. My favorite type of music is country, reason being most country songs have a message enbeded within them. Most songs do don't get me wrong but I like how the message can be understood even if the song has a fast tempo. I like all kinds of music and hope to one day be a music video editor... That's how much I love… Continue

The most horrible habit one can get....

Procrastination is the worst habit one can have. It is like a drug and you just can't shake it. It can leave you in stress, hard times, worrying, falling apart and losing hope. You don't know if you will get your work done on time and it drives you crazy. You look back on the week and see how you spent your time and realize you are always trying to catch up on what you left behind. The worst part of all of this is... when you finally finish your work/project you have this great feeling of… Continue

Outside my window by sarah buxton

These days when everythin is crazy

Some things are never ever changin

(You) still need stars when youre wishin at night

A best friend to set you right, a good laugh, a warm bath

And a beautiful song you can sing along to

Good news thatll make you cry

All the little things that money cant buy

No wars, no more, just a big rainbow outside my window

La la la la la la (outside my window)

I think this song is awesome, it always gets… Continue

classic gender dispute

I found it very interesting reading an article about Miley Cyrus and Taylor Lautner and how the public criticized their pictures differently. We all remember Miley's questionable pictures taken at a photo shoot for a magazine. It gave the allusion she was not wearing a shirt because you can see her bare back and like a towel or blanket covering the rest of her body. I do agree that such photos should have never been taken, especial at her age. But does that kind of thinking process change once… Continue

Just one of those days

I had today "one of those days." Its the day that everything seems to be going wrong and when you think it couldn't possibly get any worse... it does. It started off like any other day, but i woke up late. So then I didn't have time to eat breakfast, and I forgot my lunch (so I had to buy something to eat). Then I remembered I had to buy snacks for my English class so that put a dent in my time. Soon after I realize i had a heavy load in my backpack today, plus i was collecting bags for a… Continue

Live like you were dying by Tim McGraw

I love this song [Live like you were dying by Tim McGraw]. It a country song that always gets me thinking, and I wish sometimes "I could live like I was dying." The chorus of the song (just to give you a glimpse) goes like this:

"I went sky diving, I went rocky mountain climbing,

"I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu.

"And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter,

"And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying."

An' he said: "Some day, I hope you get the… Continue

Brain power!

When I read that Shakira went to UCLA in the summer of 2007 I was completely shocked. She was so down to earth that no one even noticed or would have thought that she was a singer and performed many shows all around the world. When some suspicions did arise instead of opening up and saying: "oh yeah that's me" she played it cool and said: "no, I am Isabel". She actually completed a full class without anyone figuring her out. She has inspired me and is proven to be a good romodel. Even though… Continue

Penny for your thoughts

In my English class we are going to start reading Dante's Inferno, sounds like a very interesting book can't wait to start it today. Found out that Dante had a muse (an inspiration for his writing), and it was a girl named Beatrice whom he only met three times in his whole life and from the first time he fell in love with her. (the first time he saw her was at the age of 9). I wonder if this could be the source of the quote "love at first sight".

I learned today that the law is… Continue

Yesterday i had to take the ACT to see if i can get a high enough score to get scholarships. It was a crazy experience. A couple of months ago I took the SAT and in between the subject test we got five min. breaks. I didn't realize then how great those breaks really are. When i took the ACT yeasterday it was five hours long and no breaks in between. I never realized how fast time can go by when you are trying to do a lot during a small amount of time. Best advice to remember during taking the… Continue
