Crazy, interesting and exhausting. These words are some that come to mind when I look back on my first couple weeks back at UTEP. Like with many things in life, you think you've gotten used to something, chameleoned your way into the scene, etched it into you mind and said you know it like the back of your hand. Just when you start to feel confident, you realize, "whoops! i have still have lots to learn." UTEP is just like that. I'd forgotten how high the hills can get, especially if you only have ten minutes to get to class across campus. I'd forgotten how far my parking lot is from aforementioned buildings. But no matter how many little things out there that make it tough, there are also things I know will make this semester even better than the first. I'd forgotten how the architecture can still make me feel serene--it's modeled after Bhutanese shrines and other buildings. Best of all, I'll have more company this semester. More of my friends got their associate's degrees and became Miners just like me. It's going to be tough, it's going to be fun, but no matter what, these buddies will have my back- and of course I'll have theirs too. :)
Classes I'm taking:
English- Brit. Lit. (only high school class!)
Intro to Creative Writing (for my minor!)
Art Exploration. (for a little fun!)
Karate (gotta work out!)
Shakespeare (i adore him!)
Communication Theory & Analysis (complicated, but interesting)
wish me luck. haha
