8/26/12- Homosexuality isnt

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 cor 6:9-10 ALL THESE SINS ARE EQUAL. NO SIN IS GREATER THEN THE OTHER! 

• Sexual Sin 
• Worship Idols
• Commit Adultery 
• Male Prostitutes 
• Practice Homosexuality
• Thieves 
• Greedy
• Drunkards
• Slanderers 
• Swindles

ALL THESE SINS ARE EQUAL I USED TO struggle with Homosexuality. When I was in high school I had many girlfriends. I had something I now call “worldly lust.” Stealing (I used to shoplift), Sexual sin…. I thought I knew everything. I though everything I was doing was right (because everyone I’ve seen was doing what I was.) Society now says that it’s natural. But what does God say??? Society cuts out this question now… The first time I read this verse (1 cor 6:9-10), I rejected it. I knew what the Bible said, But I didn’t wanna accept it.  I blew it off. I didn’t wanna believe it. I always said that Christians were mean and judgmental. But Christians aren’t mean. It would be SIN and being mead if Christians knew what the bible says, seen someone walk against it and then not say anything…. Now that would be mean…

… God is the one who will Judge us on judgment day.

• Homosexuality isn’t WRONG. I can’t stand when people tell others that homosexuality is Wrong.
• Last year I spoke to the Pastors wife about the struggle. I told her, “the bible only refers to it once.” She then said….”and that’s not enough?”
• God quickly changed my heart. I want to “Inherit the Kingdom of God”. I don’t wanna be turned away from God. We all struggle. We all sin. We just need to not wanna sin. God is Gracious. Jesus died for our sins. Think about it. I’m not better then you. I’m just another follower who’s been down the same path.

Hey girl...we live in a society were people think they have the right to decide who it is ok to love or not. I recently took a course dedicated to LGBT topics. During my involvement with this topic, one student of mine recommended I watched the following documentary. I HIGHLY suggest you watch it yourself. I watched it through netflix. It talks about the seven passages where the Bible talks about homosexuality. They have a pretty good argument which I am sure you will find interesting. Let me know if you like it and what you think!
