No Texting or Talking when Driving??

Recently a new law has been passed in El Paso regarding texting and talking on the phone while driving. I know for most people this has created an inconvenience when trying to get some information while on the road, and for others they enjoy not having to do this while driving. I know for myself I personally like the new law. Although I never really had a problem with this since I drive a standard car, I still feel that this causes accidents and puts your focus on something other than driving safe. I see some of my friends trying to pull this off when their driving and they have trouble doing so. They tend to lose sight of the road and focus more on who their talking or texting to. One of my friends recently got into an accident because a lady was on her phone texting and didn't stop with enough time at the traffic light and slammed right into my friends bumper. Accidents like these I'm sure happen all the time, and are preventable. You even hear stories on the news about people dying because of careless mistakes people make when they are driving and talking on the phone. Although it is very hard to keep your hands away from the cell phone while your at a stop light or driving, I still feel it is a must in order to insure you get to your destination safely and not harm anyone. How do you guys feel about this law? Do you agree or disagree with it?
