What does your culture mean to you?
It means Pride in everything we do. Our culture means self expression, satisfaction, and hardwork. It means to honor our family with all our effort. –Leslie B.

What is your favorite family tradition?
Getting together for a cookout when someone in the family is having a birthday. – Leslie B.
Going to the pool every summer and during the winter, decorating the house for Christmas.- Claudia B.
What do you think is the best thing about being a Latina?
Speaking two (or sometime more) languages, being intelligent, and our beautiful features .-Leslie B.
Being creative all the time and understanding people that speak more than one language. The food is good too! –Claudia B.
What do you think is the biggest challenge about being a Latina? Being discriminated in many different institutions involving school or jobs.-Leslie B.

Who is a famous Latina that you look up to?
Dolores Huerta, because she was the first advocate to speak up against abuse.- Leslie B.
Shakira, because she is such a great person by helping others with her foundation. And she dances really good. -Claudia B.
What would you like others to know about the Hispanic community?
I would like for them to know that we are hard-working and responsible. We are filled with a lot of talent that others cannot appreciate. Also, we are very proud of our culture and are foods and traditions are fun! –Leslie B.
