What I'm Grateful For: Thanksgiving Challenge- Part 1

Hello ladies!

As you all know, November is the month to express one's gratitude. This year, I decided to partake on the Facebook/Instagram photo #thanksgivingchallenge.

Basically, what you do is that you take a picture or simply post what your grateful for that day and share a few words on why you're grateful for it. I started out by making a list of items for each day, till Nov. 31st.

But I also want to share the things I'm grateful for in here. So I will do so in lists of five.

Without further ado, here are 5 things I'm grateful for this week.

1. Family, duh!- Without my family, I'd be lost. My parents are so determined and dedicated. They taught me never to give up. I'm so thankful for all the love and support I get from them. My sister and my brother are the only ones where I feel like I can truly be myself with. It's like without them I'd be like a dove in a flock of pigeons.

2. Friends that have stuck with me in spite of my crazy episodes. I'm so thankful for all the silly moments I have with my best friends!

3. Health-"At least you have health" Ever heard that before? Well, you should think about it more.  I'm thankful to be alive and well. I'm thankful to be able to walk, talk, hear, eat and so forth. I'm thankful that I am able to write this. You should be thankful that you can read this. You woke up this morning, you're breathing and have a heartbeat. Never take things for granted.

4. Being a UT Student-Obtaining an education has been my top priority ever since I can remember. I'll always be grateful that my family was able to move here to the states in order for us (my siblings and I) to pursue a better education. Plus,I'm thankful to be a student in one of the best school in the world (26th in the world, Hook'Em!)

5. Films-Whenever someone asks me--what's your favorite place in the whole wide world? I reply, Well, that's easy: the movies!.  Films are therapy to me, and I'm so thankful for their existence!

I encourage all of you to try this out! It is a great exercise that puts your life into perspective as well as makes you realize how many wonderful things may be taking for granted.

What are you thankful for?
