Latinitas - A Strong Voice for Latina Youth

When I hear feminism....
I think of the millions of women fighting for the cause. I think of high heeled shoes standing ground on a decision. I think of ribbons and bows tied together for values. I think of miracles in soft scented hands. I think of lipstick and gloss floating in the air to speak up in the crowd. Arms raised, shoulders pushed back, standing tall and proud. When I hear feminism, it is the sound of pens to the paper, the clutter of heels on the pavement, wind blowing through the fabrics of dresses and banners. It is the sound of blow dryers in New York city apartments, the sound of clanking pots and pans in the kitchen. A voice saying, "it's time for change, a time for freedom." Go! Women Go! Abigail Adams, Lucille Ball, Rosa Parks, Dorothy Day, Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks; Let's hear it now, Go Women Go!
